Author's Notes: A long long time ago, a certain person challenged me to write something based on a conversation we had about Jimmy Deakins (from LOCI). What she doesn't know is that I'd started it but never posted it anywhere and never bothered to continue with it. But I'm gonna post what I wrote here- it's not much but it wasn't meant to be.

This journal was created for two reasons.

1. All my friends seem to do this and I realised they were incredibly smart to do so.

2. My personal journal has had to suffer from emotional baggage. I wanted to start a brand new journal just for my creative side- one that needs to come out more.

The name?

Firstly, Emma is a name I love. I already plan to use that name for a baby that I [hope to] have in the future. No joke. I love the name that much.

Curle is my Grandmothers maiden name. My Gran has had a lot happen to her, and she's always said she wished she'd kept the name. So when I was doing this, this was the name that jumped into my head.

And, well, I'll be honest. I couldn't think of a cool name for my journal. So I thought of a new one for me--having spoken to a friend the other day about different names.
